Funeral Date & Time

Normally the funeral liturgy is set through the funeral home. For arrangements without using a funeral home, please call the parish office at 617.328.8666.

Donations and Fees

Normally the funeral home includes the parish donations and fees along with their own fees, and they will write one check to the parish. If you are making your own arrangements, please make one check of $700 payable to:

Divine Mercy Parish.

Our schedule of donations and fees is:
$300 Donation to the parish
$200 Organist fee
$200 Cantor fee

If you choose to have a substitute organist and/or cantor, you must still pay the staff musician(s), as ministering at sacramental celebrations makes up part of their financial income.

Additional instrumentalists are contracted and paid directly by the family of the deceased. The parish music director can provide contact information for flautists, trumpeters, violinists, etc.

We do not normally video funerals, as our wifi network is not available to the public and is not strong enough for live streaming to YouTube, etc.
